Public Hearing on Ownership Change of Lawrence Memorial, Melrose-Wakefield Hospitals May 28th

A public hearing about the change in ownership of Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford and Melrose-Wakefield Hospital is planned for May 28th, according to information released by the state Department of Public Health. Both hospitals, currently affiliated with Hallmark Health System, would come under the control of Partners HealthCare. A plan released in October details the changes to LMH, which would transition to a hospital serving patients who would stay for less than three days. The public hearing on the ownership change is taking place from 2:00-5:00PM on the campus of Tufts University in Barnum 008. More details are available on the city’s website.
