Police Arrest Teen for Alleged Car Breaks in West Medford

Medford Police arrested a Woburn teen for allegedly breaking into cars in West Medford early Friday morning.

David Bowdre, 18, is also accused of unlawful possession of ammunition and alcohol, according to police.

Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked at Jerome and Sherman Streets. They discovered Bowdre and a female companion sleeping in the car. Police woke them up and noticed an open liquor bottle, drug paraphernalia, and multiple GPS units in the back seat of the car. The GPS devices were later determined to be stolen from cars in the West Medford area, according to police.

Police also found two boxes of ammunition in the car’s trunk. Bowdre did not have a license to possess the ammunition.

Bowdre has been charged with receiving stolen property over $250, possession of a burglarious instrument, person under 21 in possession of liquor, and unlawful possession of ammunition.
