Fiesta Shows Medford

The recent carnival in Medford has raised $42,000 for a planned fall community day, according to information released by Mayor Michael McGlynn’s office. More than 16,000 people attended the carnival, which took place in the Medford City Hall Parking lot last week. The “Ben Averbook and Wally Kountze Community Day” will be held on September 21. The free event will include live music, kid-friendly activities, a bake off contest, and food, among other things. Any organization or business that would like to participate in Community Day is encouraged to contact Lisa Evangelista in Mayor McGlynn’s office.
