Where does dirt come from? Learn more about soil and some of the common organisms …the decomposers -that break organic matter down into dirt. How are plants and other living things part of the decomposition cycle? Come see some real, live decomposers!

August 6, 5:00-6:00PM

Plants and Pollinators presented by Mass Audubon

Find out more about plants and their cycles. Dissect a flower and identify the parts. Learn about several pollination strategies – some of them may surprise you. Meet a live pollinator.

Healthy Eating! presented by Whole Foods

Join Whole Food’s Healthy Eating Specialist Carla Passacantilli as she provides a fun, kid friendly approach to promoting a healthy lifestyle through what we eat every day.

The Brooks Elementary School is located at 388 High Street in Medford. The garden is located behind the school. Programs are geared toward elementary school aged children.

These programs are FREE and open to all of the Medford community! The programs are supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
