Alfonso, Tripp, Shamrock, Chang-Lu Seeking Homes

AlfonsoAlfonso

$25.00 Donation!

Hi! My name is Alfonso, but my foster people have been calling me Fozzi for short. I am about 7 months old, have very soft medium to long hair, and am incredibly handsome. I was living outside not that long ago and am leery of people, but my foster parents have been very patient with me and I am learning to trust them slowly. Their two cats definitely help me feel more comfortable.

While I like it here, I’m looking for a home and family to call my own. I will need a special situation that is mostly quiet and calm, has a friendly cat or two, and has patient humans. In time I will be a great cat for you and a great companion to your cat. I LOVE to play and am food motivated. I purr very loudly when I let my guard down and allow my foster people to pet me. My long fur will need regular brushing so I don’t get any mats, but it’ll take a bit of time for me to trust you to do that.Tripp

If you think we would be a good fit for each other and you would like to meet me, please contact Kitty Connection to set up a time to come to my foster home in East Arlington. (& see my video on the KC website too)!

Tripp and Shamrock

ShamrockOur vet has estimated Shamrock to be somewhat over five years old, and Tripp is a little over a year old. They were trapped separately as strays over the winter, miles apart from each other, but they’ve been fostered together and have bonded as brothers. They have been indoor cats ever since, and they must remain so. Tripp gets along very well with all other cats, and Shamrock gets along with most other cats. They like to play with each other, other cats, and with people, but they don’t like to be picked up or pet. Both have been neutered and vaccinated against both rabies and distemper, and combo-tested for FeLV and FIV. Vet records will be provided to their adopters. Tripp tested negative for both FeLV and FIV, and Shamrock tested negative for FeLV, but positive for FIV. This should have little, if any, affect on his life-span, nor the quality of his life. He requires no special medical care for this. However, it will affect the quality of his adopter’s bank account for the better because they will get rescue rates on his vet care as long as they use our vet. (For more information on FIV, see http://www.kittyconnection.net/2013/02/07/feline-immuno-deficiency-virus-fiv/)

Chang-Lu

Chang-LuMy Name is Chang-Lu and I’m a 2 year old Tibetan Mastiff mix. I weigh about 70 lbs. I am well trained and would do best with another dog since I really enjoy playing with a friend. My owner brought me all the way from Bhutan and now is going to Australia. He really wants to take me with him but the quarantine period is six months. He knows it would be too much for me emotionally since I don’t do great in confined places. I tend to feel nervous so a quarantine of 6 months would be worse on me than finding the right home.
