Boston Mayor Walsh to Speak at Tufts in Public Event Dec. 2nd

Boston Mayor Marty WalshBoston Mayor Marty Walsh will speak at Tufts on December 2. The public event is a part of the Tisch College Distinguished Speaker Series.

Launched in September 2014, previous speakers in the Tisch College Distinguished Speaker Series include United States Senator Elizabeth Warren, former Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius, and National Political Columnist for Yahoo! News, Matt Bai.

According to information released by Tufts, the Tisch College Distinguished Speaker Series is designed to bring leaders from a range of fields and perspectives to campus to discuss public issues. The goal is to educate, enlighten, and even provoke students at Tufts, hoping they will be inspired by the leaders and role models they hear and meet.

Anyone interested in attending the free event must register online. Walsh is speaking at 9:00AM on Tuesday at Tufts’ Alumnae Lounge. Alan D. Solomont from Tisch College will be leading the question and answer session with Mayor Walsh.
