New Year’s Jimmy Fund Event to be Hosted by Medford Family

The Mike Patterson Foundation will be hosting its first annual New Years Eve Ball to raise the critical funds needed for breast cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and The Jimmy Fund.

Timmy Patterson, who has organized multiple events to benefit the Jimmy Fund, said the goal is to raise $10,000. Patterson said when a friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer he, along with others, starting collecting donations for breast cancer research through the Jimmy Fund.

A limited amount of tickets for the event will be sold for $125 per guest. Tickets include heavy passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the night and a champagne toast at midnight. There will also be a DJ and Larry Cahill Photography will be on site taking pictures all night, according to event organizers. Formal attire is recommended.

Checks can be made payable to The Jimmy Fund and mailed to Tim Patterson at 89 Myrtle St. Medford MA 02155. Payment can also be made through Venmo by searching “Mike Patterson Foundation.” Donors should include a name, email address, phone number, and home address.

Others wishing to contribute to the $10,000 fundraising goal can do so online. So far nearly half of the money has been raised, according to the event’s website.
