Community Gospel Chorus Concert Feb. 22

rejuvenating gospel experience celebrating Black history, spirit, and music. This is an exhilarating experience of rejoicing that will enrich and engage your body, mind and soul with live music, dance, inspiration, history and joy.

The choir, under the Direction of Stacie J. Clayton, brings together singers from several communities. This year features local talents as headliners, including LaTricia Cherry and Stacie Clayton of Medford, Paulette Bassett of Salem, Darryl Croon, Heather Roderick, Teresa Forestell, Charline Lake, Rev. David Lee, and Cyndy Goulden of Somerville, and David Mahone of Randolph.

You will be delighted by the variety of selections and performances for this year. The concert will feature local artists like Lance Martin of Boston, Mina Cho leading the band with Edwin Walker of at drums. Other acts include Fellowship Church of God Youth dancers and a repeat performance by New Covenant Preschool Program of Arlington and the kids of Somerville Community Baptist church. The Master of Ceremonies, Boston Herald Columnist, Joe Fitzgerald, always delivers the historic glue that adds encouragement and inspiration the whole night through. Classic and Contemporary Gospel favorites like ‘Father Along,’ What a Fellowship,’ ‘My Redeemer,’ and Sister Act’s ‘I Will Follow Him’ are a few of the hits you’ll hear.
