City Lifts Snow Emergency; Some Parking Restrictions Remain in Place

On Monday afternoon Medford DPW Commissioner Paul Gere lifted the snow emergency, which had been in effect for several weeks following historic snow fall.

Due to conditions, parking is only allowed on the even side of the street until further notice, according to information from the Medford Police.

“We ask that all residents and motorists use a common sense approach when parking on Medford streets,” said a message from Captain Barry Clemente. “Please do not park in such a way that will impede the free flow of traffic. Violators shall be subject to ticketing and towing.”

Capt. Clemente said residents would be notified via the city’s emergency alert system when the DPW would be in their area to do additional snow removal.
