Public Rally Urges Police to Get Narcan

Narcan rally

On Tuesday afternoon people marched from Medford City Hall to the police station in an effort to urge police to obtain Narcan. The event was organized by Medford Overcoming Addiction; the group estimated about thirty people participated in the rally. Narcan is commonly used by law enforcement and medical officials to reverse the effects of a heroin overdose. At a meeting last month, Police Chief Leo Sacco said his department was “close” to getting Narcan and that he hoped to have it by the end of the month. Courtesy photo.
