Medford Family Network Concert Series Kicks Off July 14th

The Medford Family Network Family Concert Series is back and kicks off on July 14 with a performance by All Hands Drumming at Wright’s Pond. Hosted by the Friends of the Medford Family Network (www.MedfordFamilies.org), the Concert Series is a chance for families to come together and enjoy music, games, and good summer fun. Sing-a-longs, dance, art will all be part of the evening. Activities start at 5pm and the music begins at 6pm for each concert date. All events are free!

Marie Cassidy and the Medford Family Network have put together an excellent lineup of family favorites for this summer, including Karen K and the Jitterbugs (July 21), Ethan Rossiter and the Jamberries (July 28), Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys (August 4), Ben Rudnick and Friends (August 11), and the series closes out the summer with Alistair Moock (August 18).

New this year, the concerts will be held at two venues. The July dates will return to Wright’s Pond, while the August concerts will be held at the Condon Shell on the banks of the Mystic River, just outside Medford Square. Free shuttle bus transportation will be available during July only. For families who do not have a Wright’s Pond parking sticker, the bus service will start at 5pm and continue until one half hour before sunset. The bus will continuous pick up on Elm Street at two locations: 1) the Flynn Rink parking lot, and 2) the MBTA #100 bus stop at the bottom of Elm Street. Condon Shell parking is next to the park and at public spaces throughout Medford Square.

The Friends of the MFN gratefully acknowledges the generous support of our summer programming supporters, including Agero, Tufts University, and the Medford Arts Council, the local agency funded by the MA Cultural Council, the state arts organization.

For more information on the concerts, please contact the Medford Family Network at the Medford High School, 489 Winthrop Street. Call (781) 393-2106 or visit www.MedfordFamilyNetwork.org.

Pack a picnic supper and join us on Tuesday evenings through August!
