Penta Welcomes Debates with Burke

Mayoral candidate Robert Penta released the following statement after opponent Stephanie Muccini Burke publicly challenged him to debates earlier in the month:

“As a candidate for mayor, I welcome as many forums as possible to share my agenda for moving Medford forward.

The October proposed Chamber of Commerce debate has nicely set the stage for further interest to meet and evaluate both mayoral candidates.

As examples, forums that involve our business community needs, our seniors, public safety, educational and cultural affairs will offer community awareness and understanding of each candidate’s position.

I shall welcome any reasonable opportunity to meet, speak and debate with my opponent on any matter.

I shall be making inquiry with Ms. Burke to further facilitate as many debates as possible.”
