Shop Whole Foods to Support the Medford Educational Foundation Sept. 2

The Medford Educational Foundation (MEF) is pleased to announce that Whole Foods Market of Medford has selected the nonprofit for the store’s 5% Day on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015. Shop the Medford Whole Foods, at 2151 Mystic Valley Parkway, between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day and 5% of the store’s profits will go to the MEF.
Whole Foods Market created 5% Days to give back to its local communities by providing support to nonprofit organizations whose programs directly benefit the communities surrounding its stores.

The Medford Educational Foundation is a nonprofit foundation committed to supporting innovation and excellence in the Medford Public Schools. Its goal is to enhance educational opportunities for all Medford public students by investing in classroom enrichment and professional development to support innovative teaching.

Also: Save the date for the MEF’s kickoff beach party at Wright’s Pond on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, from 3 to 7 p.m. The event will celebrate the MEF becoming Medford’s newest educational nonprofit and raise awareness of how the organization will support teacher innovation in the classroom. The event will include live music, food trucks, beach games and a scavenger hunt.
