Lady Mustang Hockey Team Defeats Peabody

Ashley MorrisOn January 2nd the Medford High girls varsity hockey team skated past Peabody High 2-1 at the McVann- O’Keefe rink.

Medford’s freshman center Brenna Forbes scored the first goal of the game on a backhand shot midway through the first period. Mustang junior center Ailish Fallon later doubled the lead nine minutes into the second period when she shot in a loose rebound from a shot from freshman forward Christina Gesualdi. The two goal lead didn’t last long as three minutes later, the Tanners’ Jessica Robert scored to cut the lead in half. Lady Mustang junior goalie Trisha MacLean made 25 saves in the victory.

The Lady Mustang roster includes Trisha MacLean, Julia Shanahan, Mary Kate Lynch, Lauren Brown, Annamae Aurilio, Abby Vigliotte, Brenna Forbes, Brianna Swanson, Summer Tufts, Mamie Powers, Bianca Sasso, Ashley Morris, Erin Allen, Caitlin Sheehey, Christina Gesualdi, Ailish Fallon, Sophia Casaletto, Valeria Dapena, and Terrell Pesaturo.
