Medford Resident, Journalism Professor Discusses SeeClickFix; City Issue Reporting System Coming to Medford

SeeClickFix, an online reporting tool used by communities to track and respond to issues, is coming to Medford, according to published reports.

Medford resident Dan Kennedy, a Northeastern journalism professor and spring fellow at Harvard’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy, wrote about the tool in his 2013 book, “The Wired City,” which is about new forms of online hyperlocal journalism. Kennedy also interviewed SeeClickFix founder Ben Berkowitz in New Haven in 2010.

While the city won’t formally begin using the tool until the spring, residents have been using it for years to report things like potholes, graffiti, and other issues in an attempt to get city officials to respond. Check out recent posts on SeeClickFix about Medford here.
