Addiction Symposium April 2nd

The Center for Citizenship and Social Responsibility at Medford High School is hosting a symposium on addiction next weekend.

“Proactive Steps and Resources” is aimed at parents and teachers of students in grades kindergarten through eighth. The event is taking place on Saturday, April 2 from 12:45 to 5:00 PM in the Medford High School library. Anyone interested in attending is asked to register online.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Robert Brooks, a clinical psychologist. He will speak about “raising resilient children and adolescents. Workshops include “What Parents and Teachers Can Do About Substance Abuse: In the Home and Classroom, Preventative Family Strategies, Identifying Substances, Identifying Signs & Symptoms of Anxiety and Depression in Adolescents, and Anxiety and Depression: How Substance Abuse Impacts.” A resource fair will follow the workshops.
