Medford Launches New Citizen Reporting Tool SeeClickFix

SeeClickFix

The City of Medford has partnered with SeeClickFix to announce a new platform SeeClickFix that will allow citizens to report quality-of-life issues and request the City of Medford services.

With free SeeClickFix mobile app and web tools, Medford citizens will now be able to provide the City staff with pictures, videos, specific descriptions, and more — valuable information needed to get the job done efficiently. In addition, the SeeClickFix platform provides City officials with a centralized issue management system to manage issues from creation to resolution — engaging Medford citizens throughout the process.

“We are thrilled to bring a reliable and efficient program like SeeClickFix to the City of Medford,” said Mayor Stephanie M. Burke. “SeeClickFix gives the citizens the ability to record the location of an issue, take a photograph, share a comment, and submit a concern to the city for a resolution. We now have a work order system that will improve operational efficiencies and long term planning.”

This partnership not only allows Medford citizens to report problems, but also to view, comment on, and vote to fix problems submitted by their neighbors. Citizens can even create their own “watch areas” to receive notifications about all the issues reported in their community, enabling them to follow the progress of all service requests — not just the ones they report.

“It’s been incredible to watch the SeeClickFix community grow through Commonwealth Connect across the state in Massachusetts. And now, we’re proud and honored to be working with Mayor Burke to bring SeeClickFix to the City of Medford. It’s exciting to watch a city partner with their residents to improve their community through better efficiency and transparency,” said Tobi Wilson, SVP Operations, SeeClickFix.

The SeeClickFix mobile app is available for download on Android and iPhone. In addition to the mobile apps, citizens can send reports to the City of Medford’s website and seeclickfix.com.
