Despite Drought, MWRA Communities Lack Water Restrictions

The City of Medford received information from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority(MWRA) that the level of the Quabbin Reservoir, which is the main water supply for Medford and 46 other communities in the region, is still within normal operating range for this time of year. MWRA has not imposed any water restrictions on its member communities.

With that being said, the City of Medford and the MWRA strongly encourage water conservation at all times, but especially during dry periods like this. At the top of the MWRA’s website, www.mwra.com, you can find some good tips for homeowners on how to conserve water – both indoors and outdoors:
