ICONS Artist Reception at 13Forest Gallery Tonight

Looking for gourmet coffee in Medford Square?  Come check out 13Forest Gallery’s free opening reception for two new exhibitions on Thursday, August 16 from 6-9PM when Medford coffee purveyor Len Brault will be serving a selection of his famous Trung Nguyen coffees, a mainstay of Vietnamese cafes.

An icon can be anything from an object of devotion to a symbol for qualities we endeavor to recognize.  In the first exhibition, appropriately titles ICONS, this range of meaning is explored by local artists David Colombo, Nancy Popper, Lisa Tang Liu, and Will Tenney through printmaking, painting, and photography.  Running concurrently with ICONS is Summer Garden Series, a continuation of painter Adele Travisano’s sumptuous oil studies of life- and life forces- in her garden.  Both shows run through September 27 and are made possible by a grant from the Medford Arts Council.
