High School Construction Moving Along
|Medford High School is receiving a $2.5 million facelift over the next year that will include a new floor and bleachers for the gym, repairs to the Caron theater ceiling, new lockers, science lab upgrades, new tables and chairs for the cafeterias, and security cameras.
Plans are also in the works for a $500,000 renovation to the Community Schools entrance to make it fully handicapped-accessible with a new elevator. Construction will likely begin next summer on that project.
Work on the Caron theater ceiling is complete. Work on the gym, which began this summer, won’t be finished until late fall so physical education classes will take place in alternate locations.
