Family Asks for More than 300 Stolen Photos Back

Last Wednesday afternoon Meqdes Mesfin’s home was empty for just a few hours, long enough for a thief to break in and steal some jewelry and other valuable items, including a camera with more than 300 family pictures.

Those pictures meant a great deal to Mesfin and her family, so much so that she is offering a reward, no questions asked, to anyone with information that leads to the recovery of the memory card with the pictures.

“There is so much sentimental value in those pictures,” said Mesfin.

Mesfin doesn’t expect the camera back but is hoping to recover the photos.

The camera is a Kodak EasyShare C743, which retails for $150.

The incident has been reported to the Medford Police.

Home breaks around the holidays are not unusual. Residents are cautioned to remain vigilant, lock their doors, and report any suspicious activity to police.
