State Rep Candidates Hit the Campaign Trail
|The special election for the 23rd Middlesex House race is less than one month away, and the candidates are hustling before the March 4 special to win votes in Arlington and Medford.
Sean Garballey, the Democratic candidate, was joined by Governor Deval Patrick on the campaign trail at Arlington Restaurant and Diner on Wednesday morning. The Governor was apparently returning the favor for Garballey, as he volunteered for Patrick’s campaign in 2006. Garballey was also joined by Mayor Michael McGlynn, City Councilor Paul Camuso, and Middlesex County Sheriff Jim DiPaola.
Robert Valeri, an Arlington business owner running as an independent candidate, is throwing a campaign party on Sunday at 7PM at the Sons of Italy Lodge on Prentiss Road in Arlington. The party is open to everyone and refreshments will be served.
John Worden, the Republican candidate in the race, went campaigning in the slush and rain on Wednesday with grandson Sebastian and wife Patricia in his electric car. The car was manufactured by Worden’s son James, who invented his plug-in electric car twelve years ago.
