Tufts’ Kids’ Day Planned for April 12th

More than 700 children are expected to attend the 45th Annual Kids’ Day at Tufts University on April 12 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the Medford/Somerville campus. Children in kindergarten through third grade are invited to attend this free, fun-filled day of activities. Registration is required.
Kids’ Day activities include kiddy carnival rides, entertainment by Tufts student organizations, game booths and more. Tufts Health Services and Public Safety staff will be on hand. This year’s theme, “Jumbo Olympics,” will feature various games and sports, as well as other fun competitions. In the event of rain, all activities will be held indoors.
Children in the Medford and Somerville public schools have already received information and registration packets. The registration deadline is March 28. Kids’ Day is presented by the Leonard Carmichael Society, Tufts’ largest undergraduate, student-run organization. Founded in 1958, Leonard Carmichael Society oversees approximately 40 community service groups at Tufts, focusing on issues concerning children, the environment, hunger and homelessness, and health. Now in its 45th year, Kids’ Day is the largest student-organized community event at Tufts.
