On Saturday, April 5th, the Friends of the Medford Family Network present their major annual fundraiser, the Spring Dinner/Dance, at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, MA.
The Medford Family Network (MFN) provides programming to benefit Medford’s young families, including parenting classes, early childhood playgroups, English as a Second Language courses for adult learners, and maintains a resource center and play space located within Medford High School. All programs are offered free of charge to families who live or work in Medford, and hundreds of children and parents benefit each year from the education, fun, and sense of community the Network creates.
A board comprised of MFN parents, the Friends of the Medford Family Network works year-round to raise money supplementary to other funding sources for the MFN. Through the efforts of the Friends, programming is now available through the summer months as well as during the school year.
This year’s Spring Dinner/Dance will raise money needed to once again run the popular weekly Family Concert Series at the Wright’s Pond recreation area, and summer morning Playgroups In The Park, with Miss Anne and Miss Penny.
Over $11,000 worth of prizes can be won at the Dinner/Dance, through the purchase of raffle tickets and grab bags, and through bids on silent auction items. Prizes include overnight trips (hotel and restaurant meals); abundant gift baskets for moms, couples, and families; children’s items; a lottery ticket tree; and hundreds of gift cards and certificates from local jewelers, markets, salons, and restaurants.
Tickets for the event are $25 each, including a buffet dinner and a terrific DJ to dance the night away. To purchase tickets, contact the Medford Family Network Center at 781-393-2106 or Sharla Randazzo at 781-396-8295.
