Baseball Clinic Planned for April Vacation
1st Place Sports, led by former Major League player David Valdez, is holding another baseball and softball clinic for kids during school vacation.
The clinic will run daily from Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25 from 9AM to 12PM at Ingleside Park in Winthrop. The clinic will focus on the fundamentals of both games and players will be divided into their age groups to work on hitting, fielding, pitching, and speed/agility.
The clinic will be led by David Valdez, former player with the LA Dodgers and Seattle Mariners, and Roberto Valdez, former coach with the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, and Seattle Mariners.
The cost is $110 per player and family discounts are available. Register in person at 1st Place Sports, located inside Gold’s Gym at 4000 Mystic Valley Parkway, or online (search for baseball, then select Baseball Mon-Fri under April Vacation Baseball Camp).
