“Faces of Medford,” a photographic exhibit that explores the diversity of twenty-seven Medford families, opens at Springstep tonight.
The traveling exhibit’s opening reception will take place from 6PM to 8PM and is a collaborative effort of the Medford’s Office of Human Diversity, the Medford Human Rights Commission, and the Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service at Tufts University.
Human Diversity Director Diane Mcleod said the twenty-seven Medford families are “diverse in every sense of the word.”
The exhibit aims to showcase the city’s diverse families while at the same time promoting awareness and understanding of all types of family structures.
Jennifer Bollenbacher, a Tufts sophomore from Barrington, Illinois, helped recruit the families and organized the project.
Tonight’s opening is by invitation only, and then the traveling exhibit will be open to the public. It’s location and schedule are still being finalized.
