Police Investigate Serious Car Accident
|Victim Pinned Between Two Cars is Seriously Injured
A Grava Chrysler Plymouth employee was seriously injured after being pinned between two cars when he was struck by a car driven by an elderly man on Wednesday.
The accident occurred Wednesday morning in the used car lot at Grava Chrysler Plymouth on Mystic Avenue. A preliminary investigation indicates an 82-year-old man struck the employee and at least two other cars when he backed his car into the used car lot, pinning the 62-year-old employee between two cars.
According to police, it took the effort of Medford Fire, Police, Armstrong Ambulance, Stephen’s Tow, and Grava service personnel to lift and move the two cars to free the victim. The victim was transported to Mass General Hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Police are still actively investigating the incident with help from the department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit. Charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
