Police Make Arrest in Home Invasion
|Man Allegedly Broke into Home through Window
A Robinson Road woman woke up in the middle of the night on Sunday to quite a scare- an intruder in her home.
Although it was barely 3AM, the woman managed to stay calm, locked herself in her bedroom, and called the cops. She reported seeing a tall, thin man wearing a baseball cap walking down the hallway of her home.
When police responded they searched the home but found no intruder. Officers Iozza and Byrnes determined the suspect had broken in through a window. The victim was not able to immediately determine if anything had been stolen.
Officer Byrnes and Sergeant Buckley found a man about a block away from the home on Winthrop Street. The cops spoke with the man, Michael DiBlasi, 23, of Medford, and determined there was a warrant out for his arrest. DiBlasi was also later identified as the person who allegedly broke into the Robinson Road home.
DiBlasi is charged with one count of unarmed burglary.
