Boys Soccer Clinches State Tourney Berth

The Medford High School boys varsity soccer team clinched a spot on the post-season with their 1-1 tie against Everett on Tuesday.  The Mustangs have an 8-4-2 record and are one of the top seeds heading into the Greater Boston League tournament on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  The boys then finish up the regular season with they take on non-leaguer Madison Park at home at 7PM on Monday, October 20, and head to Catholic Memorial for another non-league game on Monday, October 27.  Above, captain Philip Petrides leaps for the ball during the Everett game.  Destin Pierrot, #10, left, scored the Mustang’s sole goal of the game.  Photo courtesy Mike Cugno.
