Tavern Opening in Former Bambino’s Restaurant
|Medford Resident Opens Second Restaurant in Malden
Medford resident Bill Honeycutt is opening up his second restaurant in the space formerly occupied by Bambino’s in Malden.
Honeycutt’s John Brewer’s Tavern in Waltham has served as a place to grab a drink and catch the big game for the past twelve years, and he’s hoping his new Malden restaurant will serve the same purpose for local residents.
The restaurant will officially open its doors on Thursday, October 23 with a grand opening celebration. Medford Mayor Michael McGlynn and Malden Mayor Richard Howard will officially cut the ribbon at 7PM. Complimentary cocktails, beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be available during Thursday’s opening party and a $25 donation per couple to the American Cancer Society is suggested.
The restaurant is located in the Town Line Plaza, 7 Highland Avenue, Malden.

I’ve been to the Waltham location several times and it’s top notch – tasty food and reasonable prices. They do a terrific job. I wish it was a Medford location but I’m happy it’s local. I know people will appreciate the new JBT. Best of luck to Mr. Honeycutt!
