New Pub Opens on Malden/Medford Line
|Medford Resident Opens Second Pub Restaurant
Medford resident Bill Honeycutt has opened up his second restaurant following several months of extensive renovations at the site formerly occupied by Bambino’s on the Malden/Medford line. Honeycutt’s John Brewer’s Tavern in Waltham has served as a place to grab a drink and catch the big game for the past twelve years, and he’s hoping his new Malden restaurant in the Town Line Plaza on Highland Avenue will serve the same purpose for local residents. The place is outfitted in mahogany and features flat screen televisions in every booth and big screen TV’s in the main bar. Customers can expect the same menu of pub favorites and comfort food, along with several draft beers. Specials are featured everyday, including a free halftime buffet on Sundays during football season. The kitchen is open until 11PM and drinks are served until 1AM every night. The restaurant officially opens for business at 11:30AM on Saturday, October 25. Above, Honeycutt and his wife Sue pose for a picture with Rob Shanahan in front of one of many murals, pictures, and other memorabilia from Malden and Medford.
