Rep. Markey to Debate GOP Opponent
|Debate Scheduled for Thursday in Revere
US Representative Edward Markey (D-Malden) will debate his Republican opponent, John Cunningham of Revere, in the first and only debate of the campaign.
The debate will take place on Thursday, October 30 at 2PM at the Revere Special Needs Center at 200 Winthrop Street in Revere.
Revere Community Media Center is hosting the debate, and Cary Shuman, Editor In Chief of the Revere Journal, will be the moderator. The debate will aired on RCMC over the weekend and will be available to view online at http://www.reveretv.org.
Cunningham, 53, is a widower and owns a small software and consulting business. Rep. Markey, 62, has served in the US House of Representatives for 32 years.
The 7th Congressional district spans from Winthrop to Framingham and includes Malden, Everett, Revere, Medford, Arlington, Melrose, and Stoneham.
The election is on Tuesday, November 4.
