Rep. Garballey: New Legislative Sessions Begins

Good morning! Last night at 10:11 PM, the 185th session of the General Court came to an end. It has been an honor for me to be able to serve the people of the 23rd Middlesex District as your State Representative for the past year. I want to especially thank those many individuals who contacted me regarding an issue facing the district or the state that they felt strongly about. Even though I have not agreed with every constituent who has contacted me I continue to yearn for community involvement in our legislative process.

This morning at 11 am the General Court will be entering into the 186th session. The financial pressures facing us are large but I believe that we will be able to work together to continue to make Massachusetts a better place to live and to raise a family. If you would like to speak to me please call me, write to me, or set up a meeting to meet with me. I look forward to your involvement in my next term as your State Representative.

The last day for legislation to be filed will be on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 5PM. I will be holding Office Hours for the purpose of discussing legislation with constituents on Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Arlington Senior Center on Maple Street from 9 am to 11 am.

Saturday, January 10th, 2009 at Panera in Arlington from 12 Noon to 2 pm.

Monday, January 12th, 2009 at Panera in Arlington from 7 am to 9 am.

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 at Medford City Hall from 8 am to 10 am.

Constituents can call my office or e-mail me if they have ideas for legislation that they would like to work on with me or advocate for.
