A “Capitol” Proposal

So Nick Falco, in love with June Dorden, wanted to pop the question in a memorable way. He got his wish.

The 36-year-old police officer and Medford resident, who has been seeing Dorden two years, wanted to have his proposal flash on the screen at the Capitol Theatre as the happy couple sat in the dark.

General Manager Jamie A. Howard said that would be difficult, but she had a solution.

June, who manages an AMC theater at an area mall, found out what the solution was about 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27.

As the two walked down Mass. Ave. toward the Capitol, Falco told June that “it looked like a horror picture was playing.” He said: “She looked up, and I got down on one knee.”

“She turned, I asked again, and she was in shock. Then she said, ‘Are you kidding?'”

“At this point, I held the ring closer to her face, and she said, ‘Yes, of course.'”

In appreciation, Falco said the Quebrada Baking Co. gave the couple a chocolate cake and a nice loaf of bread.
