Mustang Baseball Kicks off Season with Victory
|Mustangs Nab Weston, 6-3, in Scrimmage
The Medford High School baseball team is off to a good start with both varsity and junior varsity victories over Weston on Wednesday. Junior captain Danny Gunn slammed the first homerun of the season and helped lift the Mustangs to victory. Gunn, a catcher, will lead the team with senior captain and key pitcher Richie LeBert. The team would like to top the Greater Boston League this season and are also planning a repeat appearance in the state tournament. The Mustangs open at home on April 8 against former GBL rival Waltham.
