Park Serve Day Saturday, April 25

dcr_parkserve.pngOn Saturday, April 25, the state Department of Conservation and Recreation is hosting its third annual Park Serve Day.

People are encouraged to volunteer to help spruce up a local park. Last year nearly 2,000 volunteers participated. There are over fifty parks to choose from across the state, including the Middlesex Fells in Medford.

According to the DCR website, volunteers will work to get parks and beaches across Massachusetts ready for summer by cleaning coastlines, clearing trails, planting flowers, painting picnic tables, among other activities.
