Medford Head Baseball Coach Nick Tucci is again running a baseball clinic this summer for kids ages 5 to 14 to get them working on key elements of the game.
According to Coach Tucci, the Mustang Baseball Summer Camp’s goal is to provide young baseball players with quality instruction in areas of pitching, hitting, baserunning, catching, and infield/outfield play. Players will be taught the fundamentals, undergo video analysis of their mechanics, and have an opportunity to play in organized competitions and games each day competing against players in their age group.
Campers will receive top-notch instruction from a staff that includes former professional baseball players, including local baseball hero Bill Monbouquette, current & former Division 1, 2, and 3 college baseball players, and current Medford High School varsity baseball players.
The camp will run for two sessions at Playstead Park from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. The first session is June 29-July 2 and the second session is July 6-July 9. Each session is $125 per player. Click here to download a registration form.
Tucci, a former high school and college star, is a former pitcher for the San Diego Padres organization.
His fellow instructors include Mike Nestor, Medford assistant varsity baseball coach, Vin Macone, MHS JV Baseball Coach and former American Legion Baseball Coach, Paul Mattatall, former Medford Head Baseball coach and current Arlington assistant baseball coach, Ben Waldrip, former MHS standout and current St. Anselm player, and Matt Howard, current Division 1 baseball player at the University of Maine.
Some of Tucci’s varsity baseball player will also provide instruction for the young campers.
