Many young athletes will be working hard in the summer off-season under the tutelage of Medford High School coaches.
In an effort to develop a strong feeder system for high school sports, several coaches are offering youth camps this summer in a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, and tennis.
‘‘I demand a lot from my coaches. I want them in the community working with the youngsters. I want them in the middle and elementary schools so the kids coming up will know who they are. I want coaches who dedicate themselves to the youth of the city. I think I have that now in my coaching staff,” Medford Athletic Director Bobby Maloney told Boston.com in a recent interview.
See the Medford High School webpage for more information about each of the individual clinics offered by the coaches.
Update- the softball summer camp has been cancelled.
