14U Medford Maniacs Softball Team Remains Undefeated in League

The 14U Medford Maniacs Softball Team remains undefeated in the MiddleEssex 14B Division with a win over the Billerica Bratz, 12 to 6. The team once again benefited from strong pitching performances from Sarah Neal and Rayann Staude who gave up 6 hits and 5 walks over 7 innings.

The defense remained error-free by strong performances from Alison Bigham, Emily Dietrich, Allison Caloggero, Kaitlyn Feeney and Devon Vendetti. Vendetti made an unassisted double play with bases loaded in the 5th to end the inning. Breanna Botelho caught most of the of the game and limited Billerica’s base running.

Christine Feeley led the offense by going 3 for 4 and knocking in 3 RBIs, Christina Lynch and Susan Smith also solidified the offense. Laurie Allien led the team with 5 stolen bases.

The team faces the Saugus Scorpions Wednesday, July 29 and the Melrose Red Raiders Thursday, July 30 at Columbus Park in Medford.  Both games are at 7:15PM- come cheer them on to another victory!
