Kitty Connection Hosts Adoption Telethon Saturday

Dogs, Cats to Adopt to be Live on TV3

Kitty Connection, Inc., a non-profit animal rescue organization based in Massachusetts, announced a special televised pet adoption and telethon event that will take place on Saturday, October 3 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. This first-of-its-kind event will be held at the Medford Community Cablevision (TV3) Studio, located at 5 High Street in Medford, MA.

Dozens of rescued cats and kittens – and even a few special dogs – will be on-site at TV3 and available for adoption.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with TV3 on this special live event and to make so many of our animals available to the local Medford community,” stated Kitty
Connection President, Marie Mazzeo. “The cats and kittens in our foster care want nothing more than to find their special home, and we are hopeful that this unique event will facilitate many adoptions.”

Viewers interested in adopting a pet featured on the program should call 781-393-9995 or come directly to the Studio which is located at 5 High Street in Medford. Qualified adopters will be able to take their cat or kitten home that day, and should bring a carrier with them. Dog adoptions will require a home inspection before the pet can go home. All animals in the care of Kitty Connection have been spayed/neutered and are up-to-date with their vaccinations. Renters need landlord permission, via lease or letter, owners should bring a copy of a tax or water bill.

The six-hour live program will also feature a Silent Auction (items include an overnight stay at the Medford Hyatt, dog grooming gift certificates, Starbuck’s gift basket, and more) and a number of guest speakers including a representative from Stoneham Zoo, a Pet Communicator, and an authority on trap & neuter release. To bid on Silent Auction items, or to pose a question to one of the guest speakers, viewers may call 781-393-9995.

Those that are unable to adopt or take part in the Silent Auction can support the organization by making a tax-deductible contribution or by donating extra or unneeded pet supplies for the care of its rescued animals. Monetary donations may be made during the televised event by calling 781-393-9995 or can be dropped off, along with pet supplies, in person at the TV3 Studio.

Kitty Connection volunteers will also be available at the Kitty Connection headquarters, located at 6 Cudworth Street in Medford, to accept donations and introduce potential adopters to additional animals.
