Former MHS Basketball Star Making Impact at Emmanuel

Former Medford High School Girls basketball Captain Carla Andre is preparing for her junior year as a member of the 2009-2010 Emmanuel College Saints.

Andre, who graduated from Medford High in 2007, was a four year starter for the Mustangs and two time GBL all-star. She was forced to miss her freshman season at Emmanuel following two ACL surgeries, the second following her senior year at Medford High.

Andre appeared in 20 games for the Saints last season as a sophomore as Emmanuel won their 13th Great Atlantic Conference Championship and advanced to the NCAA D-3 Tournament’s second round with a 22-8 record.

Emmanuel opens its season on November 18th before participating in the EC Invitational Tournament vs. the University of California-Santa Cruz on November 21. The Saints continue non-conference play through December 30th before traveling to Thousand Oaks, California for a west coast road trip in early January.

Emmanuel is coached by the legendary Andy Yosinoff who recorded his 600th win last season.
