US Senate Primary Tuesday
|Candidates Compete to Fill Late Sen. Kennedy’s Seat
Massachusetts voters will head to the polls on Tuesday for the US Senate primary, four months after the death of political icon Edward Kennedy.
Four Democrats and two Republicans are vying for their respective parties’ nominations:
Democrats
Attorney General Martha Coakley
Celtics co-owner Steve Pagliuca
City Year founder Alan Khazei
US Representative Michael Capuano
Republicans
State Senator Scott Brown
Jack E. Robinson
Polls open at 7AM and close at 8PM in Medford on Tuesday. Please note that schools will be closed on Tuesday to allow for the polls to be open.

Well, we have placed a lot of hope in Scott Brown. All eyes will be upon him for some time…A lot hangs on him. He, right now, is an extremely important member of our congress. Or will be, rather, when he gets sworn in.
