8 Affordable Homes Available at Former Lincoln-Kennedy School

Eight new townhouses and condominiums built on the site of the former Lincoln-Kennedy School will become available in an affordable housing lottery.
The four two-bedroom townhouses and four one-bedroom condos are part of a fifty-unit development that will have an indoor basketball court and fitness room. Each unit will have granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and hardwood floors.
The two-bedroom townhouses are $165,000 and will have condo fees between $75 and $120. The one-bedroom condos are $135,000 and will have condo fees between $70 and $120. Each unit comes with two deeded parking spots.
The affordable units are only available to those who are first-time home buyers and who meet the income eligibility requirements. The maximum income allowed for an individual is $46,300 or $66,150 for a family of four.
An information session about the affordable housing lottery is scheduled for Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 6:30PM in the Council Chambers at Medford City Hall. Applications for the lottery are available online or at the library, the senior center, and the Community Development Office at Medford City Hall. Applications are due January 28 at 4PM.
