A Medford man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly trying to rob a supermarket for the second time.
Christopher Paul Corrado, 24, managed to escape his first alleged robbery attempt of Stop and Shop on Sunday afternoon by fleeing on a bicycle. Police say Corrado demanded $200 in scratch tickets and then asked for money from the clerk. He allegedly threatened to shoot the clerk if he didn’t comply.
Corrado wasn’t as lucky on Tuesday morning. One of the employees recognized him from the Sunday robbery and several employees chased Corrado and called 911. Some of the Stop and Shop employees managed to hold Corrado to the ground until the police came and took him away.
Corrado is charged with one count of armed robbery and one county of unarmed robbery.
