School Committee Gears Up for Community Read

There’s something fishy going on with the Medford School Committee- literally. The Committee recently posed with a cod to promote the upcoming Community Read. The 2010 Community Read, organized by the Medford Public Library, focuses on the history of New England fishing as well as the challenges facing marine ecology, and books featuring cod have been selected for different age groups. In addition to the books the library has planned several events in March and April, including cooking demonstrations and historical lectures.
