Girls Lax Trounces Malden, 15-8

First GBL Game, Win for Mustangs

Head Coach Matt Galusi and the varsity girls lacrosse team spent Patriots Day at Malden, with the Mustangs defeating the Golden Tornadoes 15-8.

Junior Maddie Forcier led Medford’s scorers and was responsible for eight of the Mustangs’ fifteen goals.

“It’s pretty impressive when a kid can go and drop eight goals on anybody. That’s quite a feat,” said Coach Galusi.

Medford is currently undefeated with four wins. The victory over Malden was the first Greater Boston League game and win of the season.

The Mustangs host Central Catholic at 10:00AM at Hormel Stadium on Tuesday and head to Cambridge on Wednesday morning for their second GBL match-up.
