Lancers Up 1st in Preliminary Round for Mustangs
It has been four years since the varsity boys lacrosse team qualified for the state tournament, and the undefeated Greater Boston League champs will face Malden Catholic in the preliminary round.
Medford will head to Malden Catholic for a 5:00PM game on Wednesday, June 2. Medford, 10-6, is seeded last among twenty-one teams in East Division 1. Malden Catholic, 12-5, is seeded twelfth.
The winner of that game will play Needham, 18-2, seeded fifth, on Saturday, June 5 at 4:00PM in Needham.
Medford, under the direction of new head coach Mike Engel, has the best record they’ve had in about six years.
