The School Committee Budget Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 16 has been postponed to Monday, June 21. The Budget Meeting will take place at 6:30PM in the library at Medford High School, 489 Winthrop Street.
The Budget Hearing that was scheduled for Monday, June 21 has been postponed to Wednesday, June 23. The Budget Hearing will take place at 7:00PM in the library at Medford High School, 489 Winthrop Street.
The Budget Meeting and Hearing have been changed to allow the city and school administration to discuss options for possible financial relief. This is necessitated by the rejection of a salary deferral package by major collective bargaining groups.
A copy of the proposed budget for the FY2011 School Year will be available for public review in the Office of the Superintendent on Friday, June 18 during business hours. An electronic copy of the proposed School Budget by line item will also be posted on the school website on Friday.
The meeting and hearing are both open to the public.
