Medford Intercity League Baseball Action
|Light Schedule for Chiefs
After dropping two in a row against the Medford Americans and the Lexington Blue Sox, and drawing a scoreless tie against the Watertown Reds last week, the first place Andre Chiefs (15-7-3) are on the lookout for a win.
The Chiefs are off until Tuesday, when they head to East Boston for an 8:00PM against the 13-8-1 Testa Corp. Bombers.
The Chiefs aren’t back in action until Saturday, July 31, when they host the 10-8-4 Watertown Reds at 5:30PM at Tufts University.
On Sunday, August 1, the Chiefs visit the 13-9-0 Wakefield Merchants for a 5:30PM game at Walsh Field.
Two-Game Homestand for Americans
After powering through a double-header against the Arlington Trojans on Sunday, the 11-12-1 Medford Americans are off until Thursday, when they host Doug Flutie and the 12-9-0 Reading Bulldogs at 6:00PM at Playstead Park.
The Americans will also host the Lexington Blue Sox on Saturday, July 31 at 1:00PM. The Americans then visit Lexington for a 1:00PM game on Sunday, August 1.
First ICL Hall of Fame Dinner November 12
Save the date!
After 60 years of continuous operation, the Intercity League will finally establish a Hall of Fame.
The first induction dinner will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010, at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, MA.
The first class of inductees are presently being selected. In addition, the league will induct a franchise of the decade for each of the six decades the league has been in existence, (1950-1959, 1960-1969, 1970-1979, 1980-1989, 1990-1999 & 2000-2009)

Boston sports personality Steve Buckley will serve as master of ceremonies.
