|Blaze Breaks Out Thursday Morning in West Medford Home
New- Watch video of the fire by John Costas
A two-family house on Sharon Street caught fire Thursday morning around 9:30AM. According to a witness, everyone got out of the house safely, including several pets, and no injuries were reported. Five people were displaced by the fire and the cause is under investigation.
According to a neighbor, one of the cats ran from the house and is currently missing. His name is Tommy and he’s an older calico cat with a white face and underside. He’s very shy and usually won’t come to strangers. If anyone in the area has seen the cat, please contact Sue Wunderlee at swunderlee@comcast.net.

Yeah, this was crazy. I saw firetrucks coming over from Somerville and Malden to help fight the blaze. You could see the smoke from the train station.
